So, when an employee is issued with their contract of employment by their first day of employment, when they start, they have an induction that includes being issued an employee handbook and when their terms change during the course of their employment, they receive a letter confirming the changes – all of these actions make an employee feel secure in their employment and confident in you as their employer, that you know about your responsibilities.

Retained Employment Law & HR Service
Have peace of mind with our annual retained service. For a fixed fee you can access our Employment Law and HR Services, tailored specifically for your business.
This service provides you with the following:

Unlimited advice on all HR matters covering the lifetime of the employee lifecycle. With this service you are not on the clock.

You will be assigned a dedicated HR Consultant who will work with you on an ongoing basis, they will get to know you and your business for the duration of your time with us – there are no call centres here!

You will have full access to our document template suite, this includes an employee handbook, contracts of employment and many more template letters and forms

Your dedicated and qualified HR Consultant will also compile any bespoke documents you need that aren’t already within our document template suite.
By engaging alphr you can be assured of expert and technical advice, combined with a pragmatic and jargon free approach towards your staffing issues – our aim is to ensure wherever possible that any HR problems you have are dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible, leaving you to do what you do best - manage your business.
HR Consulting

In addition to the Retained HR Service, you can also engage us on a pay as you go basis for one off HR consultancy projects. This could include one of our qualified HR Consultants attending your site to conduct a disciplinary hearing, redundancy process or alternatively, work with you to create your contracts of employment and employee handbook ready for issue to your staff and give general advice.
This service allows you the freedom to engage us for HR services when required, whilst still maintaining the highly specialised skills of our HR Consultants.


Documents
The HR related documentation you require for the numerous situations that arise out of being an employer is vast! There are many situations where you need to confirm what is happening in writing, whether that be a change to an employee’s terms and conditions of employment, a disciplinary outcome letter, contract of employment or confirmation that an employee is going on maternity or paternity leave – all of these types of situations should be confirmed in writing; that way there is no ambiguity, everyone knows the score and you as the employer, are covered.

alphr has an extensive suite of templates with letters and forms that cover most situations, our HR Consultants are all experienced in compiling documents such as these and if you have a situation where we don’t already have a specific template, we will compile it for you.

If you come on board as a retained client, then you have access to all of these documents as part of the service, but if you aren’t a retained client, that’s ok! We will of course be delighted to assist you in your documentation requirements, whatever they may be.
HR Portal
For our HR portal, we have worked directly with our partner for many years now and have found their system to have great functionality for not only the staff but for management who are also the administrators of the system.
The portal is a very intuitive cloud-based system and provides the following advantages:

One system to securely hold all employee information, removing the need for paper personnel files

Available on your desktop and laptop, but also via your tablet and mobile too

Your employees have access to their own files, where they can request holidays, report sickness, and also download their own already saved documents

Access to many different types of reports that allows you to download accurate and relevant data
